Recently, we successfully integrated the MemryX MX3 M.2 AI accelerator Module with three of Pelia’s PC models: the Bedrock R7000, the Fitlet3, and the Rugged GreenLAN PC. This achievement highlights the compatibility and robustness of the MX3 M.2 AI Module across diverse hardware platforms. Most importantly, new avenues for advanced AI capabilities in our combined solutions are open and created with these findings.
Technical Insights and Performance
We completed the integration using Linux 22.04. The installation process was smooth and efficient. some key technical highlights include:
- The MemryX module driver (memx_cascade_plus_pcie) was successfully loaded.
- The device node /dev/memx0 was correctly created, confirming system recognition.
- The PCI device was correctly identified in the lspci output.
These results validate the module’s ease of use and reliability, reinforcing our confidence in its performance. Our configuration, which includes the module under chassis heatsinks cushioned with thermal pads, has proven effective in maintaining optimal operating temperatures without additional thermal solutions for heat dissipation.
Real-World Application: Object Detection Model
To further validate the module's capabilities, we successfully performed an object detection model using the MemryX MX3 M.2 AI Module. The performance met our expectations, running smoothly with minimal latency and high accuracy, even under continuous operation.
